10 weeks

Ok, so here's the 10 week picture.  Don't get too excited.  It's not really a baby bump.  It's an all-I-want-to-eat-is-bread-cheese-and-chocolate bump.  This is what I'm sure to be the first of many meltdowns where I freak out and hate all pictures because I think I'm fat. I know, it's ridiculous, but that's how I feel so far.  Ugh...

The good news is that the nausea has mainly subsided and I'm feeling pretty good these days.  I'm itching to shop which I know is ridiculous.  I have been good so far and only purchased three books and few new items of clothing for me and my ever bloated waistline.  It sucks to work in a women's clothing store when you're pregnant and feel like a whale.....all I want to wear is PJ pants and hoodies and those are NOT part of the dress code!

I have my second OB appointment on Thursday where I get to see Dr. Barbie and hopefully continue to hear good news.  Stephen leaves tonight for a quick trip to Maine and I'll probably have a meltdown over that too....I can blame all that on hormones, right?  :)

Here we go......

Well, I suppose it's time to let you all know....we're pregnant!!  YEAH!  So crazy, we know.  Because I don't want to cram my facebook account with my thoughts/pictures/ramblings on this pregnancy, I figure a blog is easier for those family and friends who want to keep up with the madness that is going on here.  I'll do my best to post each week or so with pictures and updates.  This can be my creative outlet (thank you Pinterest!) and Stephen has his own....he's created a Twitter account @thebabynug where he will keep you updated on what we think that baby is thinking (don't worry, it'll all be in fun).  Let me back up and explain the whole Baby Nug thing....most people have a cute name for their growing baby (Peanut, Bean, Bug...).  Well, we decided on The Nugget....or Nug for short.

Here are the facts:
  • I'm 9 weeks into this pregnancy and due July 19th.
  • I've been feeling great overall with minor nausea and major exhaustion.
  • I've already had my first OB appointment and I LOVE her!  She's like Dr. Barbie.
  • We had our first ultrasound today and got to see The Nug moving around.
  • The Nug has an amazing strong heartbeat at 173.
  • Not gonna lie, my jeans are not fitting like they should anymore.

And there's our little Nug.....
