19 weeks

Oh my word, my belly has POPPED!!    I'm still feeling amazing.  I can feel her moving around quite often now.  My appetite is the same.  I want spicy food and berries.  Sherbert has become my new best friend and I want popsicles all the time!!

This past weekend, I went to Charleston to see mom and dad.  Mom and I went on a shopping spree for the Nug.  I came home with bags of stuff for her!  Books, clothes, socks, shoes!  I think my little girl has a complete wardrobe until she is 6 months old!

I also completed my registry at Target this past weekend.  So much fun!  The only issue  I'm having is that I cannot find a crib bedding set I like and am tempted at this point to just make my own.  Everything I find is too pink and I want purple.  I'm still searching, but I don't want to search too long!

The Nug is a girl!!!!!  WHOOO HOOO!!!!!  So excited!!  The ultrasound tech said everything was looking good development wise, our screening paired with this ultrasound showed no markers for down syndrome, spinal bifida, or other neural issues.  My OB said I'm looking great and confirmed that I've only gained 6 pounds so far during the pregnancy.  The only concern she had was that the placenta is low, but not low enough to be in the danger zone.  She put me on pelvic rest for the next 8 weeks though just to be sure and I'll have another ultrasound at 28 weeks to make sure it has moved. She said this will probably work itself out and there's no need to worry about it yet, so we won't.

Please do not ask what we are naming the baby girl.  Yes, we have a name that we have picked out, but we are reserving the right to keep that to ourselves until she is born.  We have decided this for multiple reasons!

And of course when I go to Charleston this weekend to visit my parents, you can bet we will be shopping for baby girl things.  YEAH TEAM PURPLE!  (You all know I don't like pink!!)

One day late due to being a tired mama....but here it is!

Monday is the big day.....hoping and praying for cooperation from the Nug.  Very excited to see the Nug on the big screen in the ultrasound room again though!!

This week I FINALLY started feeling definite movement in there...little flutters and rolls.  Then this morning, I felt a good swift kick in my side.   Ok, well it FELT like a good swift kick, but I'm probably exaggerating a bit, but it took me by complete surprise.

The nursery had it's border taken down this past week and we will be ready to paint soon.  We also did some shopping this past weekend.  Mom and I couldn't help it.  The Disney store was having 25% off their clearance....you can't say no to that!!

And now onto looking into child care for the Nug.....

16 weeks

Soooo....due to the hectic and crazy week I had last week, I missed the 15 week post and pictures.  Oh well.  Here's week 16.

I'm purposely not showing you major belly this week....UGH!!

I want buffalo chicken it seems like all the time.....or Mexican....or anything spicy really.  Bland food just isn't doing anything for me right now!  I'm still feeling ridiculously great, and can't complain.  Well, there's only one thing I can complain about and it's minor.  My hair.  I have naturally wavy, dry hair.  It's now straight, lifeless, and oily.  It won't even hold a curl with a curling iron.  I don't know what to do with this kind of hair!  And I lost a filling last week, which means a trip to the dentist for me.  I'm really not looking forward to that and am avoiding making an appointment.

Stephen and I have found quite a few kid's resale shops here in Myrtle Beach and we went into one last week.  The one we hit up had maternity clothes as well.  JACKPOT!  I got 3 pair of Motherhood Maternity capris for $18.  LOVE them.  And I can bring all my maternity clothes to this store when I'm done needing them and get cash for them.  Can't go wrong there!  I'm excited about maxi dresses coming out this summer and wearing them everyday (this coming from the girl who HATED dresses).

The countdown to February 20th is still going strong.  Can't wait for that ultrasound!!
