23 weeks

She's growing at an alarming rate!!  6 oz a week on average right now.  No wonder I feel the growing pains.

I figured I would show some pictures of her homemade goodies so far....

and now I'm off to spend time with family by the beach!

22 Weeks

Yup, the feet are SOOOOO swollen today.  The combination of hot weather, rain, and being on my feet probably more than I need to be has finally caught up with me.  Oh how I love my Crocs even more now.

This Nug of mine has been quite the mover this week....like to the point of making me nauseous at times.  Oh well, at least she's active and reminding me she's there.  No forgetting I'm pregnant now!

She also received many presents this week (I'll take pics next week).  This kid's wardrobe is RIDICULOUS!!  And yes, I need to stay out of the Disney store....I already know this.  But it's not my fault that family members and coworkers can't stay out of the kid's stores!!  It's SO MUCH worse when you work in an Outlet Center.  Gymboree, Carter's, Children's Place, OshKosh, Old Navy.....we have nothing but clothes and few other essentials for this child!  Good thing we have some more time before she gets here. (Note to self:  Go buy child size hangers....)

So I finally caved in and bought fabric to make her bedding set.  I wasn't in love with any sets that I found, so I made the hour trek to Joann's Fabrics in Wilmington and found coordinating fabrics I loved.

The stripe is for the curtains and a crib sheet.  The purple/white dot is for the crib skirt (and extra for another crib sheet). The white/purple dot will be the inside of the bumpers and the butterfly will be the outside of the bumpers.  And there is extra of the fabrics to take what's left over and make her a quilt.  I got 13 yards of fabric for all of that for less than $50.  Gotta love coupons!  Now we just need the crib.......

21 weeks

Ok, so I missed a week.  Last week was a LOOOOONG week.  To spare you the drama and craziness, just know I got someone fired this week for the Food Lion/Bank fiasco.  One down, two to go!!

I have had three people this past week tell me that I look like I've lost weight.  I don't know if I have or not because I think bathroom scales are made by the devil and I refuse to have them in my house, but I DO know that my maternity pants have been falling down this week.  I'm not really sure if this is a good thing, but my belly is getter bigger.  I'm craving healthier foods, so maybe that's part of it.  I won't officially know my weight gain/loss until I go back to the doctor's on the 20th.  In the meantime, I call my stomach my "doughnut belly" because it's not round.  Looking at it straight on, my belly button still sinks in, hence the doughnut belly.

I have been avoiding all the children's stores at the outlet center where I work.  I need to not buy anymore clothes for this kid, and let other people have some fun with that.  Seriously though, I think she has all the clothes she needs until she's into 9 month clothing, but hey, if she's going to take after her mom, she needs more clothes than she could ever wear and tons of shoes.  Speaking of shoes, my feet haven't grown yet like I've been warned about and I'm hoping that stays true!!  Although, it would give me an excuse to go shoe shopping.....hmmmmm......

Thanks to my friend Ryan, my new guilty pleasure when I'm home alone is watching all the baby shows on TLC.  I have YET to cry while watching them, but I'm not a huge crier to begin with.  However, I have a feeling they will get to me eventually.

I still have yet to decide on her bedding.  I have seen two sets in the past two weeks that I like, but I'm not 100% sure I LOVE them.  I'm still thinking a trip to Joann Fabrics is in order to see what kind of fabric they have.  I went "shopping" in my sewing room last week for fabric to make her some items (you have to understand the overwhelming AMOUNT of fabric I have in my sewing room--the product of working at Joann Fabrics part time for 6 months--HELLO DISCOUNT!).  I was in there all day and made 8 burpies, at least 4 receiving blankets, 3 blankets. and starting crocheting her a blanket as well.  I figure if I can do all that, and there are more projects on the list to make for her, then I can make her crib set.  I've seen enough tutorials on Pinterest and I'm not a novice at sewing.  I just need to decide soon so I can get started!
