Ok so this one is a little late.....
I LOVE this dress. It is so comfortable, colorful, and summery.
Ok, so this past week has been HORRIBLE. It's been totally stressful, hence the late post. Let me explain. First of all, my computer, which has been having issues for awhile now, yet isn't that old, got the blue screen of death. UGH. Thankfully, we have a guy who can update and fix it for free, but he fits us in between his regular, paying clients, so it takes days for the stupid thing to get fixed. Second, work has been a little stressful....ok more than a little. Let's just say I'll be glad when this week is over....or is that next week? I don't know, I'm all turned around. At this point, I'm sure you're thinking that none of this is so bad. It's not, really. Here's the worst part: my bank account got hacked into and emptied. Yup. You read that correctly. I was livid. Apparently, our grocery store, Food Lion, had their server hacked, my debit card number was compromised, and this wonderful person pilfered money out of our account using Food Lion as a cover. My bank, stupid as they are, let this happen, and didn't flag my account for fraudulent charges nor did they contact me with these unusual spending habits. Needless to say, I had no idea what was going on until I was trying to check out at Motherhood Maternity and my card was declined. Completely embarrassed and thinking to myself that I hadn't used this account all week and there had to be money in the account, I pulled my account up online and realized my account was not only empty, but overdrawn with tons of fees outstanding. Great. I then look at all the charges and they are clearly not from us. At that point, hormones kicked in. It wasn't pretty. The bright shining star in this story is Food Lion Headquarters. They were super helpful, knew what we were referring to (as clearly we were not the only people this happened to), and will have the money to us Monday. The loser is my bank, who refuses to reimburse any of the overdraft fees even though we were clearly not ones who overdrew the account. Needless to say, I will be switching banks Monday when I have that Food Lion check.
Ok, now that I've vented and I feel better, here's the pregnancy update. I'm still feeling amazing. In fact, I went to see the doctor on Thursday and when he asked me how I was feeling, I told him "not pregnant", to which he responded, "You do know it's not a disease, right?" He had me laughing. We got to hear the heartbeat and it was awesome and chugging right along! I've gained 8 pounds total, which he said is a normal amount at this point, and to try to keep to 4 pounds a month. I told him I'd eat less bread and cheese. :) I go in February 20th for my next appointment and for another ultrasound. I CANNOT wait to find out if our little Nug is a boy or girl! I'm going to have to control myself to not empty my bank account myself after we find out! After my appointment, Stephen and I poked around TJ Maxx in the baby department and went to Toys R Us (we don't have a Babies R Us here) to look at stuff for the Nug. Stephen started clearing out the closets in what will be the nursery to get it ready for all the goodies. It's slowly starting to become more real as more time goes by and my belly keeps growing.
